Musaeus is joined by guest Dale Ketcheson as the group performs Brouwer’s Quintet for Guitar and String Quartet. Glazunov’s Five Novelettes is a set of finely crafted genre pieces with hints of Spanish, Hungarian and Oriental dance rhythms, written when Glazunov was 16. The quartet will also perform Beethoven’s aptly named Harp Quartet as Musaeus plucks their way through the pizzicato sections of the 1st movement.
