LSO Young Artist Competition Winner announced
The Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce that Matt Groenheide received the first place award in this past weekend’s Young Artist Competition. In addition to the first place prize of $250 sponsored by the Helen Johnson Memorial Fund, Matt will perform Michael Daugherty’s Raise the Roof for timpani and orchestra with the Symphony next season as part of the Master Series. Sarah Viejou, horn, and Audrina Steciw, soprano, took second and third place respectively.
The LSO would like to thank all entrants and finalists for competing in the Young Artist Competition and providing our audience and adjudicators with an amazing repertoire.
