Join us for the Wedding!

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro is also known as One Crazy Day, and for good reason…

Figaro and Susanna are in love – crazy, all-consuming love – and about to be married. They serve in the home of the Count and Countess Almaviva; she is all grace and wisdom, while he is jealous, suspicious and has a roving eye – for Susanna. And on her wedding day! But never underestimate the power of two people in love, even if it takes clever planning, a few disguises and some great, big unlikely stories, sung beautifully – in English.

Join the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra, Conductor Glenn Klassen and Director Blaine Hendsbee for this crazy day in the life of Almaviva Manor, brought to life by the University of Lethbridge Opera Workshop, one of Canada’s leading undergraduate training programs for opera singers.

You are cordially invited to attend the wedding of Figaro and Susanna on Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Southminster Church at 8:00 pm.

Whether you are on the Bride’s side or the Groom’s, we want you to see every moment of this exciting event! Fully staged, and sung in English, you won’t want to miss a single joke, scheme or embrace of Mozart’s timeless masterpiece.
