Our friend, John Voort, will be putting on his 5th Annual Fundraising Concert called 'Moja kwa Moja' and the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra will be joining him for this. 'Moja kwa Moja' is Swahili for One by One. The event takes place on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church (4717 24th Avenue South Lethbridge). Other groups that will be joining us at this concert include the LCI Jazz Band, the LCI Singers, and the U of L Conservatory Children's Orchestra. Tickets are $20 Adults, $15 Students & Seniors and available from Note-Able Music, Dove Christian Supplies, and the Evangelical Free Church Office. So far, John has managed to raise over $74 thousand for Compassion Canada projects. This is a charity that helps children in poverty-stricken nations. All charitable donations made to Compassion Canada are tax receiptable in Canada. All proceeds from this concert will go to Compassion's Child Survival Program.
