Our resident string quartet, Musaeus, consists of Norbert Boehm, violin I; Lise Boutin, violin II; Graham Tagg, viola; and Mark Rodgers, cello, who also serve as the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra’s principal string players. Musaeus was founded in 1982 and has earned a reputation as one of Alberta’s most versatile and accomplished classical performing groups
Musaeus performs a wide variety of repertoire ranging from masterpieces of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras through to Twentieth Century classics and arrangements of jazz and popular music. Every season, Musaeus presents approximately forty public performances. These performances include the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra’s chamber music concert series and the Musaeus at Noon series performed at the Lethbridge Public Library.
Musaeus helps keep the Lethbridge Symphony Association’s mission statement ‘in tune’ by providing educational entertainment through a comprehensive program of concerts in many area schools.
