Government & Advocacy
Broad public support of the Arts is imperative to creating strong communities for Canadians to live, work, learn and thrive. Public investment ensures that arts organizations can offer a range of ticket prices that enable the widest possible number of people to experience live performance; education programs that engage our young people; and the opportunity for the artists among us to explore and create.
The LSO receives public funding from the City of Lethbridge, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Organization Operational Grant Program and the Charitable Gaming programs of the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission.
The Lethbridge Symphony is proud to work with its partners to advocate for a vibrant arts sector. Locally, we work with the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge, and nationally, we work with Orchestras Canada to ensure that the widest possible range of decision makers believe in the power of the Arts.
