Supporting your local orchestra with a day on the green!
We are very excited to be hosting our annual fundraising event at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. We’ve even extended our registration deadlines. Sponsorships are available until Wednesday, July 13, 2016 – 12 PM, and individual entries will be accepted until noon on Monday, July 18, 2016.
RBC Royal Bank Vice President Mark Brown serves on the Symphony Board of Directors and is this year’s Tournament Chair. “Lethbridge is fortunate to have such a talented local symphony that plays a very significant role bringing art and culture to the city. It’s important that organizations like this get the funding that they need to keep the livelihood of the community.”
Now in its sixth year, the event not only provides much needed funds for the charitable non-profit, but also gives businesses and community members a great excuse to spend an exciting day swinging clubs accompanied by live music, great food and company.
He encourages everyone to jump on this opportunity to support the arts in our community. “Grab your coworkers, friends, family and clients – the more the merrier. It’s always a highly enjoyable day that you won’t want to miss.”
While out on the green there is a ton to look forward to, other than sharing the course with Music Director Glenn Klassen! The MS Society will host “Hit a Ball for MS” and players will have the chance to enter a draw for a personal concert by Musaeus, the Lethbridge Symphony string quartet, at Hit the Gong! Awesome Adventures also returns with Hit the Kayak, which gets you entered in a surprise draw. Last but certainly not least, multiple Hole-in-One prizes will be offered through the generosity of the Lethbridge Auto Dealer Association, Stringam Denecky, Schwartz Reliance Insurance, and RBC Royal Bank.
Streatside Eatery is providing their ever-popular mini cheesecakes for dessert and Lethbridge’s jamani duo will be playing, as well as Joe Porter and Graeme Roset. Thanks to the kindness of many great businesses, the day will also see tons of cash and gift prizes, unique auction items and gifts for the players.
“The more the merrier!” notes Executive Director Melanie Gattiker. “We’ve actually extended this year’s registration deadline, because everyone from golfers to volunteers always has such a great time.” Sponsorship registration has been extended to noon on Wednesday, July 13, and individual registrations will be accepted until noon on Monday, July 18, 2016.
The Lethbridge Symphony is looking to repeat the successful turnout they have experienced in previous years thanks to the generous support of the community as well as returning sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible. These include long-time supporters Galko Homes, 94.1 CJOC, McNally Contractors, Bridges of Hope, as well as ATB Financial, RBC Royal Bank, and Global Television, plus Subaru of Lethbridge, Melcor Developments, Rogers Sugar, and Canadian Tire South, which have all been solid and vocal advocates of the Lethbridge Symphony throughout the years.
