Love Notes: With Love, From Broadway
Live music, dancing, and the bright lights of New York City fill the air Saturday, February 11, 2017 as the Lethbridge Symphony holds its ninth annual Love Notes gala, a mjor fundraiser for the organisation and a perennial favourite in our community.
The theme for this year is With Love from Broadway, and the event will be held at Casa for the fourth year. The exuberant evening will include a sumptuous dinner, champagne, dancing, live and silent auctions and music courtesy of your Lethbridge Symphony.
“We are always very excited about Love Notes,” notes Executive Director Melanie Gattiker. “It’s unique in our community, and gives us the perfect opportunity for the Symphony to show our appreciation for those who are tireless in their encouragement. Plus, the chance for the community to participate in a truly magical evening never hurts.”
The event supports high quality live performances in the region and engaging community programs for all ages throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to attend: some come as a couple, while others purchase a table for employees and friends. “Still more organisations donate an auction item, and many people who may not find such an event their cup of tea purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win spectacular jewellery,” explains Gattiker. “This year’s prize is a real stunner; a diamond-set designer white gold pendant by Simon G valued at over $2,500, and tickets are just $50!”
The evening begins at 5 PM with a champagne reception and includes a gourmet five-course dinner provided by LA Chefs. Excellent music stylings performed live by the Symphony and well-known local vocalist Anna McBryan, exceptional auction prizes and dancing (always encouraged!) round out the evening.
