Lethbridge’s perennial favourite fundraiser returns with its ninth edition for another great evening of fun and music. The Lethbridge Symphony is proud to present Love Notes From Camelot, at the Coast Hotel and Conference Centre on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 5 PM.
Love Notes is the Symphony’s annual gala fundraising event, known for its tradition of bringing together all kinds of people for an exuberant evening in support of high-quality performances and engaging community programs that are integral to artistic life Southern Alberta. Patrons are treated to a champagne reception, a gourmet five-course meal, live and silent auctions, and dancing to the sweet music of the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra.
“Love Notes is always a great party, and such a fun way to strengthen our ties with the community in a more laid back setting,” enthuses executive director Melanie Gattiker. “It’s also a chance for our donors to see a lighter side of the ensemble and the music they play.”
The event will feature a themed gourmet menu by the Symphony’s exclusive caterer, LA Chefs, Gattiker notes. “Attendees eat, drink, dance, and generally just have a really great time together. Costumes are also always encouraged, but they’re by no means required!“
Now in its 57th Season, the Lethbridge Symphony performs to nearly 10,000 people every year, offering a diverse program of six orchestral concerts ranging from symphonic classics to pops to opera to holiday favourites such as The Nutcracker. Chamber concerts featuring professional string quartet Musaeus, and engaging educational programs like Kids Choir and Feel the Beat round out each Season.
With an annual budget of approx. $500,000, the Symphony receives generous support from the community, with ticket sales making up 38% of revenues, and government support providing an additional 24%. The final 38% is provided through various sponsorships and individual contributions, including to Love Notes. Corporate investors in recent Love Notes events have come from a wide range of businesses in our community. Along with returning sponsors Foster & Sons Jewellers, LA Chefs, Lethbridge Herald, and Warwick Printing, the Symphony is pleased to welcome newcomers Moreland Professional Projects / MPP Photography as a Full Score sponsor, and Clear Sky Radio as a Whole Note sponsor.
