Looking for that special something to make your event extraordinary? From weddings to receptions, dinners to dances, the professional musicians of the Musaeus string quartet will liven up your shindig with music to suit every taste, from Beatles to Mozart, Jimi Hendrix to Beethoven.
Since its foundation in 1982, the Musaeus string quartet has earned a reputation as one of Alberta’s most versatile and accomplished classical performing groups. It is comprised of four of the Lethbridge Symphony’s principal strings musicians: Norbert Boehm (concertmaster), Airdrie Robinson (associate concertmaster), Gabriel Kastelic (viola), and Mark Rodgers (cello).
Their repertoire ranges from masterpieces of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras through to twentieth-century classics, as well as arrangements of jazz, popular, and contemporary music. In addition to leading our strings sections for the Symphony Series, Kids Choir, and Feel the Beat events that form part of each Season, Musaeus presents chamber music as part of the Symphony Extras, participates in our Love Notes fundraising gala every February, and performs at numerous private, public, and corporate events every season.
