Gerald Rogers

In addition to being our Principal Trombone since 1986, Jerry enjoys playing his horn in a variety of musical styles in Southern Alberta. He has been Lead Trombone in the Lethbridge Big Band for over 35 years, and plays in Lethbridge’s rhythm and groove band “Hippodrome” and the new eleven piece jazz group “Metrik”. Jerry enjoys the camaraderie of his fellow trombonists, and can often be seen joining them for trombone quartet and trombone choir performances in Southern Alberta.

Nick Sullivan

After beginning his musical education in Lethbridge, Alberta, Nick Sullivan received a fellowship to undertake graduate studies at the University of Victoria. He then followed it up with a return to B.C. in 2013 to earn his Doctor of Musical Arts degree.

Nick has a passion for brass chamber music, and has performed in numerous chamber music settings. In 2007, his quintet was featured in the Canadian premiere performance of Eric Ewazen’s Shadowcatcher, a concerto for brass quintet and wind orchestra. He is a founding member of Aeris Brass (formerly the U of L Faculty Brass Quintet), as well as the Southern Alberta Trombone Collective (SATbC).
