A 19th century London legend, the story of Sweeney Todd originated in several older tales. Sweeney Todd loses his mind after being imprisoned in an Australian penal colony and losing his wife and daughter to evil Judge Turpin. Returning to his barber shop on Fleet Street with a new identity, Todd swears vengeance upon those who wronged him and the twisted plot unfolds.
Appearing on Broadway and in London in several versions, Sweeney Todd won two Golden Globe awards and was nominated for three Academy Awards. Come hear the fantastic cast of the Little Lethbridge Opera Theatre in partnership with the Lethbridge Symphony bring this musical to life - and death!
