Volunteer at a Concert
or Special Event
Stage Crew
As a member of our stage crew, you’ll work with our Stage Manager and Equipment Manager to set up/take down the stage extension, music stands, chairs, percussion instruments, and other equipment at Southminster United Church. Volunteers are generally needed for about 2 hours the day before a concert and about 1.5 hours immediately after a concert. (Weekend/late evening hours and heavy lifting are required.) Stage crew attend the concert for free.
Ushers
As an usher, you’ll help at performances by scanning tickets, handing out programs, and helping patrons find their seats. You will also make sure that anyone who arrives late or leaves the theatre re-enters at an appropriate break. After the show, you’ll help tidy up the theatre by picking up dropped programs, tickets, water bottles, and any items patrons may have forgotten. Ushers attend the concert for free.
